Carl Against the Sea
A downloadable game for Windows
About the Game:
Carl is a little pirate that likes to travel around the world. But this time, big colorful sea monsters will make his adventure a lot less safe than usual. The canons on his ship are a bit old and like a roll of the dice. So Carl is going to need your help to fight off these monsters with your well-known ship tactics.
How to Play the Game:
In this game, you play as the captain of your pirate ship, fighting sea monsters and jumping from island to island. As you progress, the monsters get more powerful.
Every time you face a monster the canon rolls out the available icons in the canon:
- Sword means attack
- Shield means you'll get a defense for a short amount of time
- Heart gives you health
- Coin gives you currency which you can spend on island shops or re-rolls
- The number of the icons matter as well. If the monster has a 3 attack counter, and you attack with 2 defense and 1 attack, You'll remove one digit of health of the monster and will be protected by 2 defense, BUT since the monster has 3 attack counter and you've only 2 defense, you'll still lose one heart since 3 attacks overpowers your 2 defense.
After that, the game will ask you if you want to fire or re-roll (the re-roll cost one coin for every roll). Once you pick re-roll, the canon will start shuffling the selection of items again. The item picked will be displayed at the tip of each canon. Once you clicked fire, the items will be fired to the monster. You can also see what the monster will choose as its counterattack ONLY if you attacked it first.
Your final objective is to defeat the final monster and arrive at the treasure island, Good luck !
